Today our family lost a precious pillar in our family; my husbands grandma. Our kids like to refer to her as Grandma Cookie! Yep you guessed it, she makes the best cookies in the world. Grandma was soft spoken, very intelligent, and still working at our town library at 90 years old. Grandma loved the lord with all her heart and this brings us so much peace. She will be missed very much.

Keep'n my nose to the grind stone!

While waiting to reopen the store here at home...
I'm staying busy these days keeping my booth at THE SHED full of the great prims that you all like so much. I share my space with a friend so you just never know what she may bring in too!
When I need a prim break I've been repainting my son and daughter's rooms. I know what your thinking- "didn't you just paint them less than 2 years ago?" The answer is yes. However the paint in my son's room has faded so bad that my hating what shade that it became forced me to! Never buy Conco paint. My daughter on the other had just wanted a change. Girls!!! My two day painting extravaganza has my not quite 40 year old body screaming that it's not as young and in shape as it once was! This leads me to ask... what projects next?

Update:

Well, today is a new day and the planning and hard work continues. Our Electric company is here as I type. Since the frozen ground is no longer on my side to move the school house across the field; we have no choice but to take...the high road!!! I've gotta keep my sense of humor during this transition! Hopefully the gentlemen have come with great news for lifting the power lines so we can move the school house down the road.

A BIG Change!

A big change at Kendra & Co! I have closed our downtown store location to move it home to our 154 year old farm! Our farm is located one mile east of Fall Creek on Hwy 12 behind Weaver's store. My husband and I have been restoring our farm for over 3 years now. We began with gutting the house to update it and using great care in putting it back together with all the original wood trim. The barn has also been a labor of love. It was lifted up and the entire first floor replaced. These are just a few projects we are trying to complete. On a visit to our farm you will be greeted by our two goats, Lily and Miley. We also have horses, cows, chickens, cats, dogs and kids! I have been working hard to get the store back open very soon. Kendra & Co's new home will be in the 100 year old Green Meadow school house. The school is being moved across the field to our farm. Moving the school means saving the school. I am so excited for all of you see Kendra & Co's new home and this great school house! I will be blogging all the updates and posting pictures of the building as it's being moved and so much more. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this transition.
